If we have access to the tools at the sukanen museum, I don't think tools should be a problem. They have so many, I don't think they'll miss a few during shooting.
I've got more tool pictures I'll upload later.
Hoy cow, these are some TOOLS! I love the looks of some of these and I think you're right; we should be able to find all the tools we need at the museum. I love some of these and especially that crazy saw! So what do we need tools for, not much! Just a few scattered on the workbench (in my studio) and a few in the tool kit in the Finland shipyard tool room scene, and the ones in the background in the tool room, which are already there. Excellent work, Madame Properties Mistress! Or whatever fine title we can come up with for you...!
We'll more than likely be able to take back some of those tools from sukanen for the shots in your studio, right..?
I was at a garage sale today and they had some old tools for sale, but i really dont think we'd need to buy anything. They had an old (metal) plane and a few back saws (nothing like that pointy weapon-looking one) and old screw drivers. I think they were still too recent to be appropriate, though. Anyways, i just got excited when i spotted them
Yeah, I think we can borrow some from the museum for the studio shots. I love the drill too by the way.
Great work, K. Yeah, let's not buy any tools yet. I think we have all we need at the Sukanen museum and/or the Abernethy museum. Although the montage where he's building the ship may need shot of him actually USING the tools and I don't know how "operational" the museum tools are. I'm hoping there'll be a few garage sales in early or mid-August where we can find some old looking, yet working tools that we can run out and buy.
